Roatan, about 36 miles long and 2 miles wide, is the largest of the three main islands, located directly between Utila and Guanaja.
As you would expect from a tropical island, the lush green exotic jungle that laces Roatan provides a canopy for many indigenous birds and creatures that are the backbone for the golden palm-fringed beaches.

Free from commercialization, one can tour around Roatan in a rented pick-up or tour mini bus, discovering fishing villages and local vendors trying their best to make their way though the day.
Tranquilseas is nestled on a hillside amongst tropical plants and trees, the area of Sandy Bay is very quiet and away from the main hustle and bustle of the island, but within easy reach if you wish to be a part of it.
